Tattoo Artists Shares One of Her Client’s “Icks” While Getting Tattooed

Has this happened to you?

Tattoo artists have probably seen it all. We mean that literally and figuratively. From tattoos on the booty cheeks to clients even passing out.

This tattoo artist told the story of experiencing her client's ick and she didn't know what to do.

"It's a bit of an odd one. I've never experienced it, that's why I'm sharing it. I'd like to know if anyone else has had this happen to them," @chloewraight said.

Chloe said she had a client come in and they did the usual stuff before you start to get down to business: signing the waivers, seeing the stencil, and placing the stencil.

"Just before we're about to start, she's like 'oh, by the way, I just wanted to warn you of something,'" she re-enacted. "I have a physical reaction to that spray stuff that you spray it with after."

Chloe knew she was talking about the green soap and assured she could use something else in case she was allergic. But that was not the case.

Turns out her client had an "ick" to it, but was okay to have it used on her skin. Her ick was her gagging when Chloe wiped with the green soap on her tattoo.

"I'm like are you okay, do you need a garbage can, are you gonna throw up?" Chloe said. She was fine but Chloe genuinely wanted to know if that happened because of other things outside of green soap.

Several commenters listed their own icks. "Sensory is a crazy thing. I feel that way with microfiber towels and a whole bunch of other random things lol," one person said.

Another person said, "Texture issues! I used to be the same way with Aloe Vera when I was younger, I hated the way it felt and it made me gag."

Sheesh. Has anyone else experienced an ick while getting tattooed or pierced? We want to hear about this odd occurrence.
