Piercer Explains What Saying “No” to a Client Really Means

Saying no also means saying no to their paycheck...

Being told no can sometimes be a hard pill to swallow. Unfortunately, being told no is a part of life and you have to learn to deal with it and move on.

This piercer shared reasons why a piercer would tell a client no and why.

TikToker @rosegoldsf shared Perry Doig breaking down why a piercer would tell a client "no."

"I think it's important to consider that if a professional piercer is telling you no to something, it's because they care," Doig said.

Some of the reasons he listed for a piercer to tell a client no include: not having the anatomy for a piercing, a piece of jewelry won't fit, or that they don't want to do that many piercings in one session.

"We're basically saying no to our own paychecks at that point," he said. "So, if we're denying ourselves money, it's for a good reason. It's because we care about you and we want you to have an easy healing process or being able to heal something in the first place."

Several commenters understood where the piercer was coming from and shared their thoughts. "Unfortunately some should say no more though 🥺 sometimes they will try something out of their competence to make the 💰," one person said.

Another person said, "absofuckinglutely agree!!! I've been told no and never argued but respected them 🥰."

A piercer telling you no most likely isn't personal, and is about being able to pierce you safely. Show some respect to your piercers.
